“Hit-Girl” is situated after “Kick-Ass” and before “Kick-Ass
2” and is told from Mindy’s
perspective. It’s interesting to see how Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl’s dynamics
shifted and it was good to see some more of her step-father.
Chris’ adventures on the way to become a kung-fu master were also quite amusing.
In “Hit-Girl” Mindy realizes that while she was taught to survive everything life-threatening, no one has taught her how to survive her own life and how to handle the social jungle.
I think she really sees that Peter Parker may pull a mask on in order to become Spiderman, but she actually is Hit-Girl and “Mindy” is more of an alias.
What I don’t get is Mindy’s mom. In both "Kick-ass" 1 & 2 it's said that Mindy's mom is dead, but at the beginning of "Hit-Girl" she actually introduces her as a character (very much alive)?
I’m a bit confused?
Still, the art was decent, the story was interesting and it gave me some answers after reading “Kick-Ass
